Run a Travellingwords course on your computer or mp3-player
(payed 'slim' version only)

Apple-users: use the files to burn cd please.

To run a Travellingwords course on your computer you have to download mp3 sound files. The Winamp program is essential for running the course. That's why Winamps 'Lite' version is an integrated part of your course. If you have a former edition of Winamp, it's not a bad idea to re-install. Always run the latest edition. The mp3-files and WinAmp are combined in an .exe-file.

1) Select at the left of the homepage of Travellingwords.com your mother tongue and at the right the language you wish to learn

2) Now in the centre of this page, the link to the mp3 file, automatically appears containing the complete course, e.g. English – Dutch

3) Click once on the link (e.g. English - Dutch) to download the course. This takes about 15 minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection

4) Choose 'Save on disk' when asked. Put the file on your desktop (in the window you can move up the bar and select 'desktop')

5) Select 'Open' as soon as downloading is ready. If no questions are being asked, double click on the file itself.

6) To install and run Winamp click 5 times in a row on 'Next' and at last on 'Run Winamp'

7) Click left at the bottom twice on 'ADD' (= add file), go to the folder Travellingwords.com on your desktop and search for the playlist starting with: a_play (Is the ADD button visible? If not, then move your mouse to Winamp, click with your right mouse button, select 'Playlist Editor).

8) Click on the play-button (triangle). From here the complete course is running. Don't forget to switch on your speakers! Right at the bottom you're able to pull the screen (using your left mouse button) in order to enlarge the frame, showing the text completely. Sometimes a single word or some characters are missing; sorry, but this is inevitable. Never put Winamp into shuffle position!

9) Good luck with your course. It is certain to turn your journey into an unforgettable experience.

Alternatively:
- If you can’t find the folder Travellingwords.com: Start > Search [travellingwords] > Search now. Doubleclick the folder that is found and doubleclick a_play. Winamp starts the course now.
- Use REM > REM ALL in Winamp to change playlist/mp3-file.

In your (cd-)mp3-player
You can play the courses of Travellingwords.com in (cd-)mp3-players that use Real Jukebox (for instance Philips and Yepp) and in other mp3-players that can manage the Winamp-playlist that goes with the course (.m3u). So far we haven’t had the opportunity to check all mp3-players on the market. Please inform us about your experiences, good or band info@travellingwords.com.
